1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using The Receptionist, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of service

We provide an AI-powered booking platform that connects customers with merchants. Users can book appointments via chat or voice; merchants manage bookings, staff, and services. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

3. Account and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use our service (or the age required in your jurisdiction). You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for other legitimate reasons.

4. User conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system
• Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Scrape, copy, or misuse content or data without permission

5. Bookings and payments

Bookings are agreements between customers and merchants. We facilitate the booking process but are not a party to the underlying service. For paid subscriptions, merchants agree to our payment terms. Refunds and cancellations are handled according to merchant policies and applicable law.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all rights to our platform, branding, and content. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission. Content you provide (e.g. business info, logos) remains yours; you grant us a license to use it to provide the service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland, unless otherwise required by mandatory law in your country.
