GDPR & Data Protection Compliance

How we protect your data across global, European, and Finnish regulations.

Global / International

We apply internationally recognized data protection principles to all users, regardless of location:

  • Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency in processing
  • Purpose limitation — we collect data only for specified purposes
  • Data minimization — we collect only what is necessary
  • Accuracy — we keep personal data up to date
  • Storage limitation — we retain data only as long as needed
  • Integrity and confidentiality — we protect data with appropriate security
  • Accountability — we can demonstrate compliance

European Union (EU) — GDPR

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your rights under GDPR

  • Right of access — obtain confirmation and a copy of your data
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — request deletion of your data
  • Right to restrict processing — limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing
  • Rights related to automated decision-making — including profiling

You may exercise these rights by contacting us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

Finland — Tietosuojalaki (Data Protection Act)

For users in Finland, we comply with the Finnish Data Protection Act (Tietosuojalaki 1050/2018), which specifies and supplements the GDPR for application in Finland.

Finnish-specific provisions we follow

  • Processing of Finnish personal identity codes (henkilötunnus) only when necessary and lawful
  • Age limits for information society services — we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent
  • Special categories of personal data — processed only with explicit legal basis
  • Transparency and information to data subjects in Finnish when requested

The Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto) oversees data protection in Finland. You may contact them at tietosuoja.fi.

Our processing activities align with the national implementations and supplementary provisions of the Finnish Data Protection Act.
